My why?
I chose the path of a nurse practitioner driven by a deep-seated desire to bridge the healthcare accessibility gap for individuals hindered by cost or uncontrollable circumstances. I am committed to ensuring that quality healthcare is not a privilege but a right for all.
Furthermore, I recognized a critical gap in the transition from graduation to practice for new nurse practitioners, many of whom struggle to secure jobs due to lack of experience. I am dedicated to serving as a mentor and guide, helping them navigate the system and gain the necessary experience to thrive in their roles. Additionally, I observed that many nurse practitioners venturing into their own businesses grapple with the challenges of the business side of healthcare. My mission extends to empowering these professionals with the necessary business acumen, enabling them to succeed as healthcare entrepreneurs.
My transition from a novice nurse practitioner to a seasoned professional occurred rapidly within the initial months of my career, a progression expedited by the comprehensive and meticulously structured preceptorship I received under the guidance of my supervising physician.
I am a firm advocate for the necessity of comprehensive initial training for all emerging nurse practitioners. Recognizing that access to such training can be a hurdle in certain regions, I initiated this program to address this disparity.
